Pause & Reflect

The Momentum Files #34

An easier transition into the new year.

Ready to turn the page and welcome the new year?

Whether you’re counting down the days until you can finally dive into your new 2024 planner… or desperately trying to discover how to temporarily stop time because there is still so much to do before January and you’re just not ready

I have a request for you, and I think it’ll help make the transition into the new year a little smoother.

Today, I’m urging you to pause and reflect.

While some people are frantically trying to nail down their *word of the year* or wrestling with resolutions they know they’ll abandon before the clock strikes February…

I’d like you to do things a little differently.

Before bidding farewell to 2023, I ask that you pause for a moment and embrace reflection.

One of the best ways to figure out what you want moving forward is to take a look back and think about your recent experiences.

Reflect not only on the experiences themselves, but on the lessons they’ve imparted and the impact they’ve made.

🔹 How did this year's challenges nudge you to step into discomfort and grow?

🔹 Where did you find opportunities to evolve and expand?

🔹 What skills did you acquire or refine amidst adversity?

🔹 What viewpoints did you bravely release to embrace new perspectives?

And throughout it all, what treasures did you unearth?

🔸 Perhaps newfound insights about yourself or your craft?

🔸 Maybe a newly discovered reservoir of strength and adaptability while navigating change?

🔸 Or the courage and resilience to face uncertainty head-on?

When you pause and reflect on your recent experiences and what they’ve taught you about yourself, you begin to develop a crystal-clear understanding of what your next phase can look like. This understanding allows you to move into the new year with greater clarity, confidence and ease.

No time-stopping ability required.

No meaningless words or disposable resolutions.

Just you.

More self-aware.

More informed.

More in tune with your needs and goals.

More comfortable in your skin.

And ready to achieve great things in the year ahead!

Expert Tip: Once a quarter, take 30 minutes to pause and reflect on your recent experiences. Ask yourself the questions listed above and write down your discoveries. This is important because we all forget key details as time goes on. Keeping this updated list will keep your memory fresh and allow you to more easily transition in life and business.

What invaluable lessons will YOU carry forward into this new chapter?

Let's engage! Share your reflections with me by replying to this email. I might be sharing some of them (anonymously) in a future email… and your insights just might inspire and guide others as we step into a new year of possibilities. 🌟
